As a not-for-profit, community credit union for the southwest Pittsburgh area, SouthWest Communities FCU has been a trusted member of the community for 85 years.  Our members are our strength is at the heart of all that we do, which is why our members trust us with their banking & enjoy all the many benefits of membership!

What is a Credit Union? 

Credit unions are a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned an operated by its defined membership as an alternative to retail banking.  Each credit union is established by a certain group and available to that group.  For example, SouthWest Communities FCU is a community-based credit union for those living or working certain communities in the Southwest areas of Pittsburgh, PA.  As a member, you have exclusive access to the products & services of that credit union, such as: savings accounts, loan rates, and rewards programs, while supporting your community & a local business.
